Where Are Your Thoughts Today? Are They Helping You? Part 2

Like February

Like February

It is supposed to be more like February this next couple of days. Here I go again......The good news is that it is March and soon to be spring, no matter what the Ground Hog says. Spring is still 6 weeks (actually 7) from February 2 no matter how you slice it. The ads in the papers are showing spring and summer things. Bathing suits and barbecues. That's good, they aren't selling snow shovels, snow blowers, winter coats and boots.

Where are your thoughts today? Are they helping you?

When my feelings and emotions attempt to pull me in an unproductive place I just refocus my thoughts to gratitude and say thank you, thank you, thank you. Say THAT 7 times and mean it and *then* see how you feel. It is your thoughts that control your feelings and emotions.

I'm going to dvell (that's dwell with an accent) on abundance. Abundance of everything - air, trees, birds, people, sunshine, joy - everything. Abundance means wealth of all types -- including money -- not just.

I am grateful and gratitude is one way I move myself from that other place. We have so much to be grateful for! I am very grateful to share with you! Here's a good action item: When you get up - first thing - write down 10 things you have gratitude for in your life. Then write down 10 things you have gratitude for that you want in your life, but write them as though they are already in your life. Do this with feeling -- add emotion to it. Get emotionally involved in it otherwise it does nothing. Your body is an amazing thing. You can get your body to react to things that aren't even in your presence.  Think about someone dragging a nail over a chalkboard. You get chills. Right? Think about something that scares you. For most of us it may be public speaking. If you really get into imaging it you will get nervous, you may even shake or sweat. Now think about holding a newborn or a puppy.

You'll get all warm and fuzzy. Think about a day at the beach with the sun beating on you all relaxed and happy. You feel it in your body even though you are sitting in your office. Our minds can take us anywhere, think about this, play with it.

Ok, now say ahhhhhhhhhh, breathe more, breathe deeper, breathe again and connect to your own inner peace, it's there, take a moment and enjoy it.

Peace, love,

Judith
